New York City-based artist Lori Cuisinier's work has evolved from painting into large-scale photographic images influenced by music, history, landscapes and the human form. Working from a painterly perspective, she uses the most basic formats, from a self-made pinhole to an instamatic camera, to produce her intimate and sensual odyssey.

Cuisinier's work has been shown in the United States and Europe. Her images are featured in Academy Award-nominated director Mira Nair's 2006 film, The Namesake and in Adam Brooks’ 2008 film, Definitely, Maybe.
